Blackout has a generous hire stock of velvet velour drapes which can also be manufactured for purchase.
Our flame retardant (DFR) velvet velour provides a great alternative to wool serge. The fabric’s heavy nature creates an instant richness, which can be emphasised by extra pleats or fullness. Velvet drapes can transform any room and create a very elegant looking space with a luxurious appearance.
Gold, cream or black tiebacks are often used with the drapes to create entrances.
Blackout also offers velvet swags which can be added to further enhance the look. The drapes are fitted with ties at the top for ease of installation and a pipe pocket at the bottom which allows weighting with tube or chain. Velour also holds the advantage as a natural sound absorber.
We own vast stock of Red, Blue, Grey, Black and Purple Drapes in various sizes.
Our standard hire stock sizes for velour drapes are as follows:
- Widths – 1.5m, 3m, 4.5m and 6m
- Drops – 1.5m, 2m, 3m, 3.5m, 4.5m, 5m, 6m, 7.5, 8m, 9m, 10m, 10.5m, 11m and 12m
Pipe and Drape
Velvet Velour Drapes are often used in combination with the Easibuild Pipe Structure. It is a system of baseplates, telescopic upright poles and crossbars. This is a versatile solution for most events including exhibition stands, changing rooms and room dividers.
Blackout Pipe structure comes from 3-14ft height and can also create right angles.
To complement our Wool Serge Drapes, Blackout carries one of the largest hire stocks of “Triple E Unitrack” in Europe, an adaptable and strong modular tracking system for both drapes and scenery. There are also a variety of curves and circles for any specialised requests. Tab track can be set up as centre opening or sideswipe. Motorised track drive units are available for hire and these can be controlled singularly or in multiples.
